The short Inca Trail 2 days from km 104 to Machu Picchu is one of the most beautiful trekking routes in the place and in the world, unlike the classic 4-day Inca Trail where you walk 44 kilometers on this short Inca Trail you only walk in 12 kilometers, visiting the archeological site of Chachabamba, Wiñay Wayna then continuing through the famous Inti Punku or sun gate. The second day we visited Machu Picchu without much physical effort, just walking around the Machu Picchu archeology site for 2 hours or more on a tourist circuit about 1 km and a half aprox.
