The Sacred Valley full day, is one of the most visited places in the Cusco Region where you can see a beautiful inter-Andean valley, which the ancient inhabitants of the place used for agriculture due to its fertile land and this is currently used for the sowing of corn, in addition this valley has beautiful landscapes with its mountains and snow-capped peaks.

The Sacred Valley full Day, you will have the opportunity to visit Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero archaeological sites  with their centers and craft markets.

Overview

The great inter-Andean valley called the Sacred Valley of the Incas has many attractions for the development of tourism in its rivers, mountains, trails and archaeological centers. Its epicenter is the town of Urubamba, located about 60 kilometers northeast of Cuzco, where you can practice canoeing, mountain biking, trekking, horseback riding and participate.

Itinerary

We Will Pick up you between 8:30 am, to start our trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The tour starts visiting Pisaq’s archaeological site (the place that was a strategic military point because of its location). After the guided tour we will have time to visit the local market and walk around the main square.

We will follow the Urubamba river to get our restaurant for the lunch in Urubamba city. After lunch, we will go to Ollantaytambo archaeological site, Inca city that had a religious, political, and agricultural function. In Ollantaytambo, we can find the unique and original Inca city that keeps the Inca design with beauty full streets.

Then we will return to Cusco City thought Chinchero, a farming village dedicated to the potatoes production also magnificent textiles. During the return, we will stop in the center of production of fabrics with ancient technologies (skills), where it will be possible to help the weavers’ communities with the purchase of their works. Return to Cusco city.

Altitude Sickness

It is common to start wondering about altitude sickness if you plan to come to Peru, especially Cusco city. However, it is easy to solve this problem. High Altitude Symptom

The main symptoms are headache, tiredness, dizziness, nausea, tingling, loss of appetite, difficulty sleeping, and vomiting. Please, if you feel any of these problems, contact our company. The vast majority of symptoms are temporary; they can be hours or days. You always have to be attentive to the symptoms.

Weather

In the Andes we have two seasons, rainy and dry but we will always be prepared for any change, our main attraction Machu Picchu is located in a cloud forest, and here we have the possibility of rain in any season. Bringing rain gear or a rain poncho is recommended.

First Aid Kit

All our tour guides have knowledge of first aid and procedures in case of emergencies on the trails, at the same time they have an oxygen tank in order to help you to feel much better on trekking. However, It’s fine if you thinking to bring your own first aid kit for the tours.

Travel Insurance

All our passengers must have travel insurance for tours, treks and more if you plan to travel for a few weeks or more than a month. Although, you sure need to have one if you have any illness for safety.
